The delicate design takes its inspiration from the Bombay Blackwood chair part of the RCP’s historical collection. The lace-like carving of scrolling foliage covers every visible surface as rich ornament was associated with high quality furniture. Within the border of the scarf are two symbols: two snakes wrapped around a beacon, similar to the caduceus and the RCP’s coat of arms.
