Tea towel - coat of arms

£5.00

There is no record of the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) chose its coat of arms. The original design first appeared on the Grant of Arms in 1546, 28 years after Henry VIII granted the RCP's Charter. The description explains that the hand reaching from a cloud is 'ffelinge the powllse of an arm' and that the fruit is a 'powme granate golde', which may have been chosenowing to pomegranates' allenged power to cure 'burning agues'.

The modern logo depicted on this tea towel was commissioned in 2009.

100% cotton.
