The original design first appeared on the Grant of Arms in 1546, 28 years after Henry VIII granted the RCP's Charter. The description explains that the hand reaching from a cloud is 'ffelinge the powllse of an arm' and that the fruit is a 'powme granate golde', which may have been chosenowing to pomegranates' allenged power to cure 'burning agues'.
The modern logo depicted on this tea towel was commissioned in 2009.
